Irrespective of me being from a ordinary family my parents has always supported me to involve in any good deeds and this site is a small effort to spread the value and tradition of sacred Surya Worship.The Sun God Surya resides in Surya Loka which is far from the real Sun and we gain blessings of Suryanaar by bowing to Sun. So from what i have learnt i wish to spread the message. We suffer in life due to bad deeds we did in our past births and that of our ancestors. Based on what way we have to enjoy and suffer in this life to payback for previous births karma, we are born at a purticular time. The position of planents the moment we are born becomes our Horoscope. Thats why astrologers are able to prodict good n bad ahead of us. Since Lord Surya is powerful , the person who has faced lots of pains in life can do the following to gain blessings of Surya Deva. 1. On a Sunday morning , bow to Lord Surya and offer any dress with Red color in it along with any food items made of wheat ( or wheat itself ) to the needy. If you are in india, you can give it to temple priest after getting permission from them if they will accept. If not give it to any friends or welwishers. I don't assure your problems will be solved by doing this. It depends on your past karma. All i try to convey is Devotion on Surya deva and doing good deeds like giving food etc will surely gain you blessings of Lord Surya. Red is he color for Surya Deva . So you can gift any dress in red color to your friends children. This will be a great blessing.The dress need not be only Red. It can have other shades/designs too along with red. A person as ordinary as me has no expertise in vedas or the puranas.All i have got by shirdi saibabas grace is my devotion towards Lord Surya and my own personal experience about the power of Lord Surya. Salutation to Sun God : Surya Namaskaram on Pongal : To be born in india to parents who follow the religious traditions has been a blessing in my life. Every year during January 14,15 and 16th, we used to celebrate Pongal .It is a celebration of prosperity associated with harvest by thanking goddess of Nature for blessing us with Good Rain , praying Lord Surya ( Sun God ) and the farm animals that have helped in the harvest. I have seen many of my neighbours houses they used to cook Pongal in the Gas stove. My Mother used to cook Pongal Traditionally. My father also helps my mom to make pongal which consists of Boiling rice with fresh milk, jaggery in new earthern pots,adding chasew nuts etc and boiling it over in the vessel. We used to keep 3 pots brass pots on a earthern stove and create fire with wooden pieces. So we do the real pongal and when the pongal boils and flows out my amma asks us to say "Pongalo Pongal" ..he he....Then after all the 3 pots of pongal, Ven pongal, Sakarai pongal etc is made, my dad keeps a banyan leaf ,lights the sacred lamp, makes a small ganesha with mixing tumeric powder with water and breaks coconut. This time we also look at the SUN GOD and pray for welfare of all farmers and bless us all with peace , good health, long life and prosperity. My mothers belief in the mantra Aditya Hrudayam : My Mother used to ask all of us in our family to recite the mantra called Aditya Hrudhayam which is the main reason i made this website. In this fast world people dont have much time and interest to do proper surya Namaskar ( bowing to lord surya ). So i felt its good if i atleast spread the value of Lord surya ( sun god ) worship, people can bow their head to lord surya every morning at their house or when they go out of house atleast have a look at surya and thank him mentally and bow to the Sun God with the following mantra "Aadhitya Hrudhaya
Punyam In the room i stay , i am not able to see Sun from windows or door or balcony and i also have to run to office in morning. So when ever i see the first glimpse of Sun, i bow my head and in my mind , i chant the above mantra. I agree that the real benefit of such mantra is gained only when a proper surya namaskaram is done but my intention is to make as many devoted people as possible to develop their love for Sun God Worship and be blessed. We hindus travel and settle in different parts of the world and in our own country people are forgetting the value of traditional worship. This is a small effort to help people realize that Sun being the ruler of all planets , when we have any sufferings in life due to inauspicious position of planets, if we worship sun god , surely it will be a blessing. Let us understand that a Simple Namaskar folding hands in front of Sun makes lord surya happya and we will be blessed with peaceful life.
Personally, in january 2008 , My father took me to suryanar temple near Kumbakonam in tamilnadu ,india. Its a beautiful temple for Lord Surya . we did some rituals followed in that temple .what gave me immense happiness is that sai blessed me to light few lamps and also do anna dhan ( food offering ) for saadhus in that temple. From that time when ever i see any sai friends in pain, i used to ask them to offer 1 kg of wheat to a priest in the temple with some dress which the priests wears, along with a dakshina of 108 rupees. Sometimes i also request them to offer any dress in shade of Red to poor women or kids and to people living abroad , i ask them to gift their friends kids or friends with Red color dress etc. This way they can pray lord surya to bless them with peace. Infact i am not doing it astrologically, i am a ordinary little servant of shirdi saibaba. All i know is when we devotedly help others or gift anything to others surley it will be a blessing for life time.
